Why?  Even if you don’t find some cooking odors objectionable, vaporized grease can damage your beautiful new kitchen cabinets. Imagine the smell coming off of your favorite fish dish building up in your furniture and draperies!  NO THANKS….     The solution is a range hood that will remove all the cooking grease and smoke to the outside of your home.  To determine the proper power of ventilation needed to prevent a greasy smelly home please read on……

Its All About Clean Dishes

24 02 2009

When choosing a new dishwasher these are the items you should look for.

1. Sound level is the big one. If you choose a model at 52db or less you’ll enjoy silence.

2. The dishwasher racks should hold the dishes you most commonly use with out any problems. Just Imagine loading your most common dishes in the new dishwasher. Will you have problems with large items? does the dishwasher offer enough rack flexibility? what about wine glasses?

3. The styling of the dishwasher you choose should match your current or future kitchen plans.  Remenber that Stainless doesn’t always match from brand to brand.

I will continue your education about  washing performance ,drying styles and types of disposers options when you come in to look at the 72 different models dishwasher’s we have on display.

Just ask for Joe Maltase at the Albert Lee Appliance Store in Seattle.

I bet this dishwasher ran at about 70db  of sound and used 15 gallons of water…….. if anyone has spec’s on old products I would love to do some then and now comparisons.

ENERGY STAR IN YOUR LAUNDRY ROOM

19 02 2009

FRONT LOAD VS TOP LOAD

The current debate on the sales floor is between the energy star front load washers that use around 20 gallons of water per load and the top load washers you have grown up with that use around 50 gallons of water per load.
You can buy a front loader from $600 to well over $2000, while the good ol’ top loaders are $300 to $500. Most people focus on the upfront cost as they start the search and wind up purchsing an energy saving unit after they learn that the 4 people they wash for help them save at least $200 per year in energy, water and soap costs. Did you ever think that you could have a washer pay for itsef in 3 to 6 years?
Come on in to Albert Lee Appliance in Seattle and ask for Joe Maltase to help you choose the machine that will quite possibly make you excited to do laundry!

GAS OVEN VS ELECTRIC OVEN

13 02 2009

What type of oven will you purchase gas or electric?

This is a common question that has one good question. How do you like your cookies.

You will find that in a gas oven your cookies will be more moist and cake like.

In an electric oven you will get a more flat and crisp cookie.

Do you dream of a moist cake like cookie with a large glass of cold milk?

If you prefer dipping a crisp  cookie in a glass of milk  choose  an electric oven.

If you want the ability to create both styles contact joe maltase at jmaltase@yahoo.com to set up a showroom appointment.

I will gladly help you figure out how you can fit both a gas and electric oven in you existing kitchen design.

viking appliances

10 02 2009

Thanks for visiting joemaltase.wordpress.com

This is a great representation of a very common kitchen set up. Most kitchens will have these spaces and products, a 36″ wide viking refrigerator, a 30″ pro viking gas range with a matching viking vented microwave-convection oven and a silent running viking dishwasher. This package of viking appliances as shown can be part of your new kitchen for a small monthly payment of $173  for the next 5 years…. WOW…. that’s a  small impact to your monthly budget but, I guarantee you will reap  huge returns on this  investment. Image the inspiration you will have to cook for family and friends and all the great memories you will have when you perform the paper plate simmer test. If you do not know what the paper plate simmer test is email me  JMALTASE@YAHOO.COM and I will show you what a viking range can do.
