Thanks for sharing this great post. I really wish this could my new kitchen... I will be remodelling my kitchen in about one or two months - and that's exactly how I pictured my new kitchen. But I guess, to make my kitchen look like that would involve a hefty sum of money.

I wouldn't label myself as one of the coffee connoisseurs, but I do enjoy coffee and certainly wouldn't mind having a new Miele CM 5200 at my home. From the sound of it, the blend sure must be perfect and I can't wait to try out its taste. Thanks for sharing this post with us!

I personally believe that this is one of the most vital requirement before buying. It would be a real shame if one bought a nice appliance for the kitchen but ends up being either too big or small. I hope many would take notice of this thread. Thanks for posting this!

I think viking does a great job on thier cooking and refrigeration products. The difference between the viking and the GE monogram range would be mostly a personal preference of looks and features. The viking range is availible in a lot more flavors than the GE monogram so, I would recomend choising the range you want and dont decide on the most valualble tool in your kitchen based on price. If you choose apearances that are similar mixing brands is quite common.

Hello Jenny
I know Julia's wall oven in her home at the smithsonian is a convection electric wall oven but, I am not sure what brand. If you are looking for a good solid performing wall oven I would recommend that you look at look at the Miele, the themador and the monogram. If you can find a retailer or distributor in your area that has live ovens that you can bake in that would be ideal. The best oven for you is the one that meets your needs and performance is the only one you can test. Reliability is not guaranteed but, a reputable dealer or distributor will stand behind any product you buy and help you spred the word of the service and support they offer.
hope this helps.
Thanks for reading Joe"s appliance blog

Good morning. I am dying to know what kind of wall oven Julia had. Do you know? I am planning on some remodeling in my kitchen and need to decide on wall ovens. I can't stack them because of space constraints so they have to be separate. I am overwhelmed by the choices and conflicting reviews. I have a small bread baking business out of my home so I need some real workhorses and maximum interior capacity. Looks are of no concern to me; it is performance and reliability that I am after. Neither am I brand conscious though energy efficiency is important to me. Seattle is a bit of a hike for me or I'd come in and see you; Plymouth MA is a long drive away. Can you make any recommendations or at least eliminate a few of my choices as not what I need?
